Even though there are lots of scary mobile games, no one can match the feeling of panic and intimidation that this game creates.

When viewing the game's visual effects, Demons Never Lie should not be perceived as a comedic work. Rather, it's a fantasy and drama that is also very dark. The opening plot of Demons Never Lie took place in another life for a man named John. He attended his own funeral, during which he observed others from a spot outside the cemetery. The event stood out because no one else lingered at the gathering. Consequently, John must have endured a profound sense of loneliness in his previous life. A young girl named Alba appeared in a tragic scene. After a few conversations, Alba informed the audience about a positive event: the light area had opened its doors to allow John access. He had one minute left to say goodbye to himself and follow her into a new world. When John first encountered Ocaso, his melancholy lifted. The impostor labeled himself a demon and pitched an option to return to humanity. John could choose to remain where he was or opt for a complete reset. In exchange for the questionable benefit of erasing all memories of the day, he accepted only one condition: to reinstate his youth by fixing his past mistakes. Ocaso’s sentence hadn’t ended yet. This is why John quickly considered Ocaso’s declaration of happiness to be true. John dropped out of school at age 28. He moved into an arrangement with a tight-lipped spouse who always requested he follow her instructions. His previous moral principles nearly abandoned, John was now free to live according to the whims of his heart. Instead of pursuing his goals happily, he decided to commit crimes like drunk driving and stealing his friend's wife. John discovered the truth about his father through one event. He tried to rebel against the morals ingrained in his mind by committing suicide in a similar manner to his previous life. That’s the first chapter of his story. Mark, Peter and John all have some connection to the original John. They act out of selfishness despite the fact that they could choose not to live again. By doing this, they reject others' feelings and try to justify their happiness. As a result, Mark and Peter are a result of John coming back to life as someone else. There is no difference between a life lived honorably or dishonestly; one may live for someone else or pursue one's own happiness. Regardless of Karma, the afterlife awaits those with too much good fortune in hell rather than those led to heaven by Alba. Alternatively, when Karma goes too far, one will be doomed to Ocaso instead of being ushered to heaven by Alba. Life decisions don’t hinge on the supernatural. The devil never lies, and demons never lie. What people take into consideration when making life choices is where they want their lives to go.

The game's plot falls into the traditional narrative sub-genre. Its lengthy dialogue between characters is uninterrupted for most of the game. Before you get sucked into the story's plot, it's helpful to make early choices that affect the story. For example, when Alba asks John if he wants to stay on earth longer, you can choose to reply with either "yes" or "no." Doing this shows that you're a part of the story and helps to build momentum for the plot. The game's story won't suffer because players have limited control over what each character does. That way the game's lengthy plot can remain unchanged. The game offers a wide range of contexts. Many scenes are presented in the third person perspective via various camera angles. Moving from scene to scene is quick thanks to touch-responsive doorways between rooms. The transition from one scene to another can be immediate if a player simply touches the door to room B. Sometimes you need to complete two or three tasks simultaneously; however, you won't overload. For example, when John wants to meet Lucia in a park near his house, he needs to withdraw money first before their date. The story of a life continues to captivate players with the game's choices, quests and quiz questions. A life lesson is at the heart of everything that happens throughout the game.

The music played in the game is constantly the same. Sometimes it has an enjoyable rhythm like that of the city or street. But other times, it plays sad and ghostly melodies like when the main character crosses paths with scenes from another life. Additionally, there are fun musical moments when the character experiences some sort of self-reflection. The game is completely silent; it has no audio at all. However, the sound effects are well done and detailed. By carefully crafting the sounds in Demons Never Die, the storywriting becomes seamless and pleasant to listen to. This care goes into even small things like John playing video games, showing how focused the development team was on creating a great story. The graphics in Demons Never Lie were created in a 2D style using colorful square blocks. The images you see don't resemble typical 2D life videos or colorful scenes. Instead, the images look dark, ironic and thorny. The narrative's effect gradually permeates the viewer, even when it doesn't appear to be moving quickly or glacially.
