The game “Warhammer” is a fusion of analog war simulation games and plastic models. Its hobby is Warhammer 40,000, or 40000 in English. The name is sometimes shortened to 40K. “40K” is a science fiction strategy game based on the world view of swords and magic. It’s also called Age of Sigma by its fans. With a dark and dystopian theme, the content of humans vs aliens and dark gods can be compared to the horror war science fiction of DOOM and GEARS OF WAR. It can also be said that it is a battle between humanity and monsters in the sense that humans fight against extraterrestrials and Dark Gods. A 40K game version I played is surprisingly lighthearted and easy to comprehend. It even comes with a well-designed game system. While it maintains a focus on strategy, it also feels like an oppressive place to live.

A Hexagonal stage separates the game into six phases. You can easily understand turn-based strategy by playing previous games. Players familiar with the genre will feel right at home. By tapping a location on the destination hexagon, a unit can move from one distance to another. A unit can also attack from far away by tapping an enemy. Flicking from the unit to the enemy causes them to move close to each other and perform a coordinated attack.

Black Stones can be exchanged with Crates to obtain material items for enhancing. These Crates sell for money, which can be exchanged for Black Stones. This in turn can be exchanged with charged items to make them stronger.

The title 40K refers to the classification of the work’s genre; it’s dystopian, heavy and dark. I felt this way after reading the description, so when I played the game, I was surprised at how excited I got. Moving around using the system’s flick system feels great. This game's atmosphere compares to the “Fire Emblem Heroes” app. The battle effects make the experience like playing a video game that replicates shooting.

In battle, the flashy and audible effects on my attacks make me feel great. Along with this, the feedback of flicking is pleasurable as it makes me feel like I'm attacking myself. I also appreicate the pleasure of my attacks interacting with each other. Using the gun to move feels alien in simulation games. It's a feeling rarely seen in games. The unit "Bellator" uses the skill Death from the Sky to attack both themselves and the enemy. This exhilarating experience makes them feel like a special move in a fighting game. Additionally, the ally Inceptors who come down from the sky and rain fire on enemies give them an additional boost of energy.

It's fantastic that the game doesn’t forget the true fun of the war simulation war game “Warhammer.” In fact, it provides a balance of strategies and tactics with fighting. As you can imagine, high ground is more advantageous. Additionally, the game allows players to set terrain ablaze and damage enemies through continuous damage. While the game’s story mode is easy, players can still reach an adequate challenge even with a push. Because of its fast-paced nature, rush mode is extremely challenging to face; it's even harder to endure if you don't have a plan for fighting. If you want a challenge but also a plan, consider trying rush mode.

Compared to other strategy games, Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus has many more characters and various power hierarchies. Each character is assigned a number of stars that indicate their initial power hierarchy. Players can completely upgrade characters to the maximum strength level with items. Renting a high-ranked warrior is one way to get access to someone you don't initially have the money to buy. After assessing their abilities in battle, you can decide whether or not your squad should use them.

Each match takes place in a different environment; your team and the enemy appear on a chessboard with each square being hexagonal. This configuration limits the mobility of both characters and their environment. It's impossible to attack an entire squad at once and engage in turn. The warrior closest to the enemy is the first to charge, but you can also use the feature button to have other characters join in. Since strong cards in the opponent's vanguard position can overpower your strategy, avoid situations where this occurs.

Throughout each seasonal event, players unlock and collect more cards by winning more games. The more matches a player wins, the higher their rank will be. The most attractive mode of Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus is ranked according to each season's event schedules. Countless people chase after the same few spots on the scoreboard. But even if you don't succeed, your name will still be at the top thanks to your tenacity. Can you believe it? ———
